Hi, yes, the rear wiper often seems slow and hesitant to start. Especially if it hasn't been used for a while.
Using it a few times seems to help. I've not tried to lubricate it, but that is probably what's needed. |

Thank you DSC
I shall try that route first before going down the route of removing the motor. I had assumed the rear would have had the same level of speed as the fronts but wasn't sure. P |

Noticed similar on my truck.. the rear wiper works but at a slow speed.. as I don't use it I wasn't really bothered, but if I was I'd check the voltage at the motor when off and again when switched on.. if you have a difference of a couple volts that's likely the reason
..just to much drop in voltage.. |

If not used regularly, it's just as likely that the grease in the gear casing has hardened, so increasing resistance. Darren

As LRA mentions, itโll be lack of use.
To be honest that will be common as itโs of little use anyway, anything other than rarely anyway. Last edited by custom90 on 5th Sep 2024 12:33pm. Edited 1 time in total |

As always, this forum is fantastic for the feedback and help.
I've got to take my rear door card off for another item I am hoping to fix so will have a look at the voltage and motor itself. My OCD on things working as they should will be in full force this weekend |

I'd be interested to know how you get on. Mine is similar but the wiping speed seems to improve when the car has been running for a bit.
