The Tahoe and the Trooper are alike only in the fact that they are body-on-frame SUV's with GM automatic transmissions.

The Trooper is considerably smaller and much better made overall. That blue one saw me through my last two years of college. It towed a 4500lbs sailboat along with 5 college brats from North Carolina to Key West - an 18 hour drive in one direction - and back without a single issue. Also took me all over the east coast for regattas. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

H1Tad - They are reliable that’s true and return high miles. Thumbs Up
Have you seen Steve Meade’s Caddy? (You can see it on YouTube).
Over 1000HP I think and twin / bi turbo. Shocked Cool Mr. Green

Muddybigdog - Just searched one of those, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before.
I have quite a good knowledge of most vehicles out there, but not so much classics.
Mainly because many have got rare now, so much so they are in very small numbers left.

The scrappage schemes by Gov over the years have a lot to answer for because of that. Sad ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Parked up next to this very nice Morris Mini pickup yesterday. Always wanted one when I first started driving but ended up with just a standard mini saloon.

@custom90 The only thing I recall about Scimitar is that Princess Anne had one and they seemed to catch fire. Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

Quite likely, fuel leaks common as well on classics so not surprising. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Any vauxhall from the 70s and 80s era is practically non existent, from what i have see, Only the nova seems to be the one to really survive.
A bloke down end of the road used to love rovers, He had a couple of SD1s back in the late 90s, Then switched the 800s. He always seemed to have a Rover 800 on the drive, and ran jag at the same time, His MRs had a metro, then sort of moved onto other makes. 10 years ago, he must have retired early, As he parted company with the rover 800, and reverted back to an SD1 again, but kept the jag. I think that now has gone, and the Mrs is putting around in a BMW mini thing, and he is rocking a MGB roadster, with wire wheels and chrome bumpers. So i am suspecting the Rover side of things are getting a little tricky for spares now sadly. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

England 1986 Defender 90 2.5 n/a Diesel ST Nato Green
Hi, I’ve had a couple more spots this week on my rounds,

It’s a 1600 twin cam, I’ve not seen one for years, probably due to them rotting away and from memory it was a popular mod in the day to a Morris minor to fit the fiat twin cam
I’ve also seen each day this week between Minehead and Williton a very nice looking old English white A35 slightly lowered with what look like minilites fitted with a young lad driving it, unfortunately I was driving so no chance of pics oh and I saw a white mk1 transit between Bridgwater and Holford yesterday lunchtime, it looked very tidy Thumbs Up cheers Paul

A Vauxhall Royale. We had one of those in 1981. Stepfather wanted a change from the Granada. It was super posh in those days. Also love the Chevette - I had the saloon, it was my first car. EMR530W.

It's funny how the big exec cars were dominated by Ford and Vauxhall for years with a little smattering of Jaguar.

I remember my father getting an Audi 100 and thinking it exotic and super cool. Mind you he upped his game in 1984 with an early Quattro Very Happy Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Spotted an MG ZT/ rover 75, what was a common car on our roads. Anything MG Rover based as practically vanished from the roads now, i suspected such years ago. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Spain 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alaska White
My Neighbour has a rover 75 in daily use. But here in Spain you drive the car into the ground… Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

Nipping back to th UK last year there was a MG ZT V8 - the hand built stretched one - getting on the ferry just before us, it did sound lovely going up the ramp and must be pretty rare now.
