I've had issues getting the V5 updated/ Corrected so that has been left for now. I did discuss it with my now insurance provider and their advice was to keep trying but as long as your vehicle is insured and meets Emissions requirements for MOT etc you will be covered legally. That was Adrian Flux.
I believe conforming to the emissions of the engine prior is a must... Unless you have a friendly MOT centre which I do not at the moment. 4.0 V8 Defender 90 My Instagram |

Door cards starting to go on
Click image to enlarge Seat belts going in Click image to enlarge Having bought 3 double din plates non of which have properly fitted (the one from Defender Upgrades was particularly bad), even after a bit of fettling I decided I'd have a go myself and try and make something that fits properly. I felt that the lower body fitted well but the problem was with the upper section. My idea was to cut an upper section from the OE unit and cut the lower section from an aftermarket unit and see if together they fitted any better. Upper section from OE fascia, the added bonus here, as I was not using air to these vents, is that it did away with the annoying rattly moveable vents from the aftermarket unit. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Lower section Click image to enlarge I'm really pleased with the results and the panel here has not been screwed down. I'll probably paint all the parts using the Upol specialist paints which I can get in grey which closely matches the leather. Click image to enlarge I've finally found a company that will do the PPF, so I'll be in for a few days of polishing before going for PPF, will be interesting to see how they get on. |

Thanks you for all the love this thread has received, it is really motivational.
As I am nearly at the end all I have left is to fit the carpets, sort the double din and give it an MOT. Here are some pictures of whats been going on recently... Sorry about my computer issue,...hope this post works.
This is so brilliant that I have no adequate words to describe it. Love the LT1 cutouts in the sills etc, LOVE the dual exhausts, the integrated dash/interior controls etc,..just THE BEST. You are so talented. |

Congratulations. Absolutely stunning build. Chapeau.
EDIT: Oh and it’s the first Defender I’ve seen which looks great on 20’s. What size are those tyres and is it dropped -1 and -1.5 rear ? WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. Last edited by Zed on 18th Nov 2024 10:15pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Well done, best Defender 90 ever, your attention to detail has been 100%.
Have you ever put up a video of the sound, those dual exhausts would sound beautifu? Have you any words to describe your driving experience, & is it how you thought it would be after all this time? I think every member of the forum would like to own this! |
