110 Toe Panel - anyone removed this at all?
Hi Smile

Fitting central locking to the middle doors is growing arms and legs.
The harness from the driver's seatbox to the B-pillars runs in the boxed section behind the front seats.

I need to replace this harness with one that has the central locking wiring in it.
The existing non c/l harness seems to be clipped into place in this boxing so I can't just pull it out.
Also the new harness also has clips to hold it in place.

The part in the diagram runs along the width of the body along this boxing.
Anyone removed this panel before?
Is it just a cover?
If I do so, will it reveal the inside of the box section?
There are quite a lot of bolts so don't really want to remove them all and find I still can't access the wiring Laughing

Thanks in advance Smile

looks like I need to bite the bullet and remove it.
Googling about and YRM have 2 types of these - 1 for vehicles with c/l and another without.
The one with c/l has a small ledge fitted to it which has fixing holes for the harness.
Awful lot of screws though - screwed to the floor, the b-pillars, the seat boxes, the seatbelt reel, the door stay.......
visions of the whole vehicle collapsing and crumpling if I remove it. Rolling with laughter

jobs I wish I'd never started.....

this just seems so much effort for so little gain.
looks like I need to remove the cubby box also now to get to one of the nuts.
what a palaver Big Cry

I like to keep things as standard as possible but this might need a hack instead - I wonder if I can push the old harness back into the cavity and draw the new one alongside it somehow.

Just looked again at YRM and this is the many bolts I need to remove -
