Spot lights
Looking to wire in spot lights. Can I use the positive feed from the starter rather than run a cable through the bulkhead to the battery?

Yes, you can so long as itโ€™s fused near the Alt in-line.
Take it back to pin 30 on a typical 4 pin NO Relay, 87 out to your lights, then you can sort out the trigger.
You probably know this anyway. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Thanks custom. That will speed up the install and save routing a cable through the bulkhead Thumbs Up

Go for 4mm2 thinwall cable for the supply and load if you can, no smaller than 2mm2, as the bigger cable youโ€™ll get less voltage drop but any bigger than 4mm2 then youโ€™ll not readily find female spades with locking pins (for the relay) any bigger than that.
Also if you use larger, that will future proof your installation if you want to fit more powerful spotlights or LED etc that draws more current. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
