Adding SIM card option to Front AVIO Module
So I purchased a new AVIO module with SIM card so I could use my own data plan for the wifi hotspot I turned on.

I have set:

MultiCAN-468 FrontAVIOPanel
Current: Mid Line Fitted (USB with
OTG only)
New: Mid Line Fitted with SIM (USB with OTG, and SIM)

MultiCAN-812 PIVI SIM Type
Current: Machine-to-Machine eSIM
New: PSIM

I was wondering if some who has the SIM card option from the factory if these settings are correct?

I seem to register a fault which I think may be related as below:

ICCM-Infotainment Compute Con...
B14B6-93 (2F) USB Port #1 - no operation

I also see the option of a Highline with may be the correct option?

MultiCAN-468 FrontAVIOPanel
High Line Fitted with SIM
Mid Line Fitted (USB with OTG only) ***my factory selected option without sim***
Mid Line Fitted with SIM (USB with OTG, and SIM)

The only other setting I imagine may need tweaking is:

MultiCAN-901 Front Connect Socket
Mid Line Fitted (Dual USB with H2H only)

Hoping someone can help? Thanks

Have you tried turning off the Hotspot for a while, maybe it needs that to disconnect from the eSim? MY23.5 SE Defender

I've turned on the hotspot with my iid, and I connect via the defender to wifi and gain access to the internet, and without adding a sim card to the vehicle?
Aren't they all built like this?

MultiCAN-812 PIVI SIM Type
Machine-to-Machine eSIM

MultiCAN-814 PIVI WiFi Hotspot
Internal WiFi Hotspot fitted

MultiCAN-817 IVle SIM Profile Type
Not Supported

I too have been thinking what to do post the eSim being supported (paid for) by Land Rover, I still have 18 months to go but after that I will be at the mercy of Land Rover and what ever they want to charge.
Unless we are given a way to access the eSim and use whatever provider we want.

I had not thought of using the phisical sim card holder, I think it was only used in the earlier models?
I do hope a solution is found! MY23.5 SE Defender
