Defender S vs X-Dynamic SE (2024/25)

Can anyone help decipher differences with these?! I guess it's the 2025MY now? The D350 engine model anyway.

I noticed the S seems very similar to the SE now but quite a lot cheaper so had a bit of a click through.

I've added on "big" things like sunroof and driver assistance, 20" wheels etc. and the S still seems to be around £5k cheaper.
Seats can be set the same on both so it's not that - I've picked Resist Seats.

The only things I can't seem to add via configurator that are on the SE are Meridian Sound System and X-Dynamic Styling. I can't see how they'd add up to the difference. Maybe loads of little touches?

The dealer been good so far but get impression they're struggling too with constant changes.

The spec pages here, if anything, suggest the S has some bits the SE doesn't!

After lots of thinking I went for the SE and just ordered the winter pack for heated steering wheel, screen nozzles etc. and 3 way split rear seats with heating. Matrix lights came FOC and are poor, so glad I didn't pay for that.

I also had a fixed tow and electrics bar fitted by and independent for £600

33,000 miles in in 18months and there is nothing else I can think of that I need or would order.

I agree with you re LR confusing spec though.

Thanks, I think I'm going to do same and go with the SE! I guess making an S into an SE will bite me later on.

The spec page I referenced above has a fair few proper errors from what I can figure out. e.g. Meridian is listed an addition on the SE (over the S) but also in the spec for the S.
