As mentioned, Lightning has summed up the L663 versus the Grenadier quite succinctly. I think most of us on this forum have stopped comparing the two, they are aimed at completely different demographics. Defender 90XS SW

The new Suzuki Jimny has become a bit of a cult car. Suzuki stopped making them in 2020, after only two years on sale.
lt was replaced by a less desirable two seat "Commercial" version but that's been discontinued as well now. Prices for used 4-seat ones in the better SZ5 specification are still around 25% higher than the new cost of just under £20,000 We've been offered £26,000 for ours and that's from a car buying website. l predict that Grenadier prices will always be strong. They won't depreciate to nothing like the new Defender eventually will. l bet a twenty year old Grenadier will still fetch £15-20,000 if it's been looked after. As for the new Defender, l don't think a 20 year old one will have much value at all. |

I think the opposite
a £10k reduction on new price will always affect second hand prices and high depreciation they will drop much quicker than the new defenders anyone remember the "Santana" landy copy, couldn't give em away, |

You may be right and l may be wrong!
Only time will tell. The reason l think the Grenadier will hold its value better than the Defender is, that Grenadiers are generally owned by enthusiasts who will look after them and keep them. The vehicle won't be "disposable". |
