I have adjusted the two screws right up on the rubber buffer. Door doesn't get hardly any use, and I do have a swing away bracket, so shouldn't be much weight on the hinges. I'll try and have a another fiddle this weekend Mo cheers  2005 TD5 90 Hard Top

Not so much the buffer, stoker, as the whole striker. Slackening the two screws just enough to allow you to move the striker down a little with a light mallet blow. The striker is designed to be adjusted a fair way up and down and in and out, so do not slacken the screws too much, just take the nip off. Gently try the door and if satisfactory nip up the screws again.

So I went to open the door when I got home from work and the handle was stiff as.. Wouldn't budge, so I though, oh fk! How am I going to open the door, just about managed to clamber over the dog cage to try from the inside. But that didn't work. Finally gave it a good tug and the door popped open!
So, took out cage, took off door card. Everything looks as it should, I think the issue must be in the mechanism on the door 🤔 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top Beer 'n Sex 'n Chips 'n Gravy |

Mine does the same. Maybe some more adjustment needed on mine. Out of interest what make of latch did you go for? 1999 Defender TD5 110
