Bonnet letters refit after refurb…
Letters were removed with a little bit of heat and trim tool, scotchbrited, plastic primed then rattle can painted Matt black.

Before I removed, the letters were traced onto some 2 inch masking tape, for spacing.

Placed tape straight on cutting mat, lined up straight edge along bottom of letters.

Used more 2 inch tape on top to hold in place, then some clear application tape over all (layered 2inch tape would also work if you can’t get app tape)


Measured and marked centre line on letters, used 1 inch tape lined up with bottom of bonnet for guide, centre lined that also.

Lay the lot in position, hinge back,remove adhesive protection film, fold all into position and press each letter down.

Thanks Paddy, will be doing something similar soon,

From the centre line whats the distance to the back of the D in LAND and then to the front of the R in ROVER

Hi Shane,

If you look at the pic above with my measuring tape the centre line is at the 330mm point which is also the start of the R in rover and the other measurement you were looking for is at the 215mm mark which is 115mm away from centre line (330-215=115) 👍
