Try the CHT sensor had issues similar myself and found the cylinder head temperature sensor was faulty.
The give away for me was the temp needle moved slightly when cold, it’s a cheap part so worth a try 2023 Defender L663 V8 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 (gone) 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

ok, so its around correct running temp then.
Sounds like a faulty sensor giving over read and sending it into a restricted/limp. VCV is worth a change for the funds involved too. Cheers James 110 2010 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I would swap out the SCV and see if that makes a difference. Relatively cheap albeit a bit of a

... that also came to my mind, when cleaning the "fuel valve" VCV it might be toast now.

i had very similar issues with my TDV6 Discovery a few years ago and this ended up being the MAF sensor, to save a few quid as i expect you have spent a small fortune already try to borrow of a mates?
mine happened towing a caravan and just as i got on the M50 which meant a very long trip home at 30mph ![]() 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 (gone) 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

Sounds like a right nightmare..
I'd be trying to look at live data from as many of the sensors as a tool will accommodate.. When cold and when in fault Strange there are no codes.. Are you using a generic obd tool or manufacture specific..? That might show a bit more.. |

what diagnostic tool are you using for calibrations and any DTCs?
And unlikely the PCM is causing trouble. Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |
