Flexible part between DPF and exhaust pipe cut/change
Hi,

For an easier drop of the gearbox, the exhaust pipe under the gearbox that is attached to the DPF should be removed.

Standard to do this the DPF has to be removed too. This is a lot of extra work and fiddling. I am thinking of cutting the flexible part out and exchange it for a clamped flexible exhaust pipe.
Anyone followed this route already?

Regards

Never have removed the dpf the gearbox slides back over the exhaust and you have room to change clutch if you want to remove gearbox unbolt the end case and remove output shaft and flywheel and gearbox can be removed

Thank you, for your informtion.

I have already done this, but had issues in the past with a transferbox oil leak.
So was looking to fit both units connected as a whole.

Iv just had the clutch replaced by Engine 710 in Edinburgh. They take both boxes completely out as one complete unit. The photos show the DPF stayed in position but with the first exhaust section cut and clamped. Cross member was simply removed by its 4 bolts for easy removal of boxes. Both props off. This is the easiest, quickest and less fiddly way of doing the clutch in their opinion but still a 7-8 hr job costing £1k.
