The other thing to consider if MPG is your driver, is that the PHEV versions are often more expensive and the residuals are getting a bit lumpy at the moment. Getting a straight forward petrol or diesel will be cheaper and you're unlikely to recover the difference in cost in fuel savings. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Thanks for all the response Bow down
I’ve had 3 PHEVs and apart from the suspension and 1st gen issues with the current Mazda I’m a big fan - towing mpg has been similar to my last RRS but solo is where I see the real benefits thanks to cheap EV tariff Mr. Green

I’ve had multiple diesel FL1s/2s, D2s and RRSs which worked for me but the DS didn’t and I’m now wary of oil dilution and DPF concerns being retired and low mileage user Confused

I’d go EV but towing a 1.9T wobble box think PHEV is my best option - thanks to the 70 mile range I’m hoping finally to be EV all the time unless towing when it will be petrol hybrid - hopefully I won’t regret it this time 🤞 Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Well I finally had to fill the BMW X545e up yesterday. 6months maybe longer... £90. Typically lasts about 3 to 4k miles. Where's the button, what side is the tank on.....

Electric....dont ask. My bills are about £40 a month during the summer, most as a result of the standing charge. However thats offset by the £800+ generated this quarter.

The other bug bear of mine was tyres (old X5s chewed through them) but at 19k miles they are circa 5mm all round and consistant.

Hi pjm-84 - good to see another name I remember Bow down

Nearly went X5 PHEV on recommendation from a friend and good to hear your feedback - if the RRS PHEV is another lemon will probably see you on the X5 group Rolling with laughter Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
