Aux belt tensioner bearing woes
I decided to replace the bearing in my belt tensioner. 6203 2rsh skf to go in. Dims all match the factory one. Anyway the issue is on reassembly when I tighten the bolt through the bearing the little separate dust shield on the bolt head side is contacting the the bearing seal and causing everything to bind up a bit. Not locked solid, but not free. I put the original bearing back in, same issue, so its not the new bearing. The little separate dust shields are different to each other, but I have them back as they came off.

So what am I doing wrong? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

In case anyone else attempts this, I gave up trying to work what was wrong and instead replace the offending dust shield with a big stainless penny washer which does the.same thing without touching the bearing seal. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

If its same as a 2.4, the one under the AC compressor is a 6203 as well. Mine was toast. Not sure on any others. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I just changed all my belt pulley bearings and had no issues. Could you post a photo or two showing the problem?
