I'm sure I'm majorly late to the part on this one, but today I saw a video of a G wagon doing a G turn.....

Apparently it has an electric motor for each hub, so it can do those 360 deg turns by driving the wheels on each side in opposite directions, tank style. |

Probably just youtubers showing off, Mercedes also has the Mercedes bounce on some cars which is intended to get you out of soft sand but watch this youtube short and you will see how it will get most of its use

@lightning, that was my thoughts. Realistically it's rare to find a deadend road that has enough width to perform something like this - in the UK at least..

As mentioned above Rivian announced this on their cars over 4 years ago but I don't think they implemented it in production models

I’m looking forward to these arriving in the UK- hoping I’ll get my hands on them at Mercedes Benz world when I’m working down there.
The g-turn is possibly less useful than G-steer which plays with torque distribution and gives a tighter turning circle, I presume similar but in a slightly more sophisticated way to how the high spec Broncos do in the states. Chris |
