You won't regret it. Owning a Defender is a lot different to owning any other 4WD in Australia. Just get used to other Land Rover drivers waving to you. 110 2.4TDCi

Yeah get used to not being able to take it into the outback because you know it is inevitable that you will break down! Being Austrailia you're life may depend on the quality of the vehicle you drive hence why everyone else buys something relaible form Japan! LR 90 XS GONE! Hurrah!

It is good to know that you finally be able to sell your Defender and move it to another brand (whatever is).
Probably Defender were not for you, but for the others here this truck fulfill all our needs despite some gremlims due the new design (that other brands also have).

You dont need to be a mechanic to have a Defender (in fact I believe that most of us are not mechanics). The only thing that you need is to enjoy the car and the possibilities that a defender can give us.

For far, my experience as a new Defender owner has been more than satisfactory and if I can kill the gremlims will be a 10 of 10.

Cheers and good luck Eduardo

Congratulations, enjoy Thumbs Up

They can have issues but most are sorted and some are just a quirk of the vehicle (noises, clangs & bangs etc) after all there is a lot of transmission / running gear underneath a Defender that is not present on ordinary cars.

The Defender has one thing Toyotas can not have............... character Mr. Green I love the "face of mine" they look so good and are like driving your favourite Tonka toy ! Infinitely customised and brilliant off road work horses.

How many sleeps you got to go?

Sorry you appear so bitter, again I will repeat you knowlingy brought a product you admitted you knew had
problems, so take some of the blame when it misbehaved, you had a choice like us all. re toyota 10 Toyota Landcruiser 70s v8s here in New Zealand at one firm, 5 new engines within a year, sounds reliable also!!!.

Congratulations! I believe that will now make two Stornaway Grey 110s in Perth. I gave my RRS (which is brilliant) to my wife and I still haven't looked back. No probs so far.

To anyone talking about Toyotas; We have just traded our Toyota Landcruiser in for a REAL 4WD! Because everytime I was driving a Toyota I felt like I had sold my soul to the Devil! Twisted Evil

If Toyota was as cool in design as what it is reliable it would still fall well below a sub-standard Land Rover!

Thanks for all the replies- Car is on the Boat- 3 weeks! Will post picks when received.
