Black bumpers – paint or retrofit?
Hi. Just picked up a brand new 110 XS. There was no option for black pack, so I’m thinking of either getting the front and rear silver bumper parts painted or retrofitting black bumpers. Any recommendations of which way to go?

If it’s a retro fit I was looking the black bumper packs at PowerfulUK or Hunters Prestige. If I go that route does anyone have any experience of them? Are there any similar options in the Berkshire/Surrey area for fitting? Sorry for lots of questions. Thanks!

Just picked up a 110 xs too Very Happy

Mine had already been ordered when I purchased it , so was too late for factory black pack.

My dealer did all the bumpers / badges and wheels once they got the car .. only cost me £500 ( they paid the other £1000 )

I’ll second the clean thing but then it looks good dirty too. The car is big for an old duffer like me to keep cleaning despite having watched the videos and bought the kit. 🤬 that it takes all day. If it’s sunny you may as well give up before you start. Dirty is good. 👍🏻
I did look at wrapping which makes life easier I’m sure but the price is just stupendous. £6k to satin the sides and gloss the front, roof and rear.

Anybody replaced the bumpers with the black bumpers kit by Hunters?

https://huntersprestige.com/products/front...3047727391

Price wise it seems good. How is the fitting? Is this kit a cover or still need to remove the old bumpers?

Is this Santorini black? Or just general shiny black?

DIY level of difficulty?

I am good at mechanics not so with body trims.

Trim on the L663 is pop on pop off stuff. Get some decent trim tools and you can get most of the plastics off with the addition of small socket set. None of it’s particularly difficult and there are some videos from Hunters or Powerful uk to help also. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

Great answer thanks. I need to grow confidence with the newly acquired Defender and have some balls to start working on it.

Watch the YouTube videos from those above. They’re full of useful stuff. None of it’s hard.
