i can get measurements later for you .
think thats a puma style seal, the new genine door seals tend to be thicker with more re-enforcements where you bend round the body at the door latch. which then can kick the door out on pree puma/welded doors i had to adjust my door for it to get a good seal all the way round. at first i made the door a bit tighter to account for the seal needing to bed in and compress. once adjusted they are a better seal. i also fitted the puma style lower door seals which dont fit 100% but are miles better. |

looks like it and the way its kicking your door over at the reenforcement in that bend will probably be causing you issues.

Cheers. The old one fits better and gives me no gap when the door is shut. I am not sure I have that much movement in the door to cure the kicking out bit. 1999 Defender TD5 110

you may need a shim or two, possibly on the bottom hinge (bulkhead Side) to push the bottom hinge out and the top should then go in. (basically your piviting the door angle)
door alignments are a right pain. the door could be a little bent its hard to tell from the photos, but your old seal the door sits better. i think its the extra re-enforcments/thickness just below where you think the door is bent. you should be able to adjust things to try and get a better fit. |

As said time and time again fit the Genuine JLR latest seal as the aftermarket ones are too stiff on the tight curved areas.

Aftermarket seals are rubbish. They’re cheaper for a reason, as you have found out. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

Sometimes it's worth spending the money. You can run a defender on a tight budget, but if you want it to be 'as God intended' you need to flash the cash occasionally. |

I’ve had good results specifically using the Bearmach branded front door seals, as a more cost effective alternative to genuine.
