Unless you bought the ARB unit, I would consider the new TJM unit. Got both and will definilty fit the TJM to my L663. m

That's actually a great spot for it! I like it better in that location than taking up the limited boot storage as some have put it. I have my Trigger 4 Channel controller in that spot. I use it to run all my power without needing to poke holes thru the firewall each time. I kinda wish I had more space to add the compressor as well!

I wanted just the mounting brackets from this company which were priced at £120, however the postage and taxes were an additional £352 I’ve sent an email with the expectation that it’s an error. Anyone live in New York State and able get a cost to post to Uk? Cheers Huw 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black |

I got my ARB twin compressor mount from New Defender Mods. Really well made and easy to fit.

Hi Moo
Thanks for your response mate but the twin compressor is a bit too much for my needs and pocket. (Unless the wife has taken her eye off her purse). I need to increase both front and rear by 13psi to tow and drive fully loaded. Therefore I need this ability almost constantly when touring in Europe. The pressures are up and down each time I tow so very often. The lucky8 mount is fine for my needs but the post/ taxes are stupendous. I can get the twin unit for about £320 plus the hose £53 and trigger/ connector £34. The extra £225 just ruins the deal a bit for her indoors. That’s why I looked at the cheaper option which I could do all in with a bit of shopping around for about £360 plus the postage of the brackets. Which is why I’m here trying to find someone who’ll look into the post options. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black Last edited by Huwrhys on 26th May 2024 3:31pm. Edited 1 time in total |

You can also mount it under the spare wheel, kit available from PowerfulUK

I have the lock on the spare so a bit awkward for me. Also it’s the twin which is way beyond my needs. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

The rear upper panel can be converted into a storage box, but not sure a single ARB would fit in there?
Click image to enlarge Alternatively, get a Molle kit and mount it inside? The cars a tow car rather than an off roader. The tucked away position in the engine bay worked because I don’t lose any internal space. The upper storage boxes from Plumb are tiny (and pricey), so much so the girl presenting the video tried to get her water bottle in and it wouldn’t fit. Thanks for your suggestions though. 👍🏻 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

You can always just mount single compressor on it.
I also have a few things I want from Lucky8 and possibly Saltek. I'm currently planning to be in the US middle of June so will get them delivered to my hotel. If not I have lots of colleagues back and forth, so often get them to bring stuff back. If I do go, I'll let you know. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |
