Power for dab aerial
So I'm fitting a new Sony stereo into land rover and I've got a new dab aerial to replace the existing one but it needs power and thinking to piggyback off the cigar lighter which is got a black a purple and a red yellow stripe which colour is the power any help would be appreciate

Is there not a 12v output on the stereo harness usually dedicated for electric aerials but no reason why it wouldn't supply a dab aerial ?

As mentioned above most stereos have a 12v output used for aerials or amp switching. In the ISO harness it is a blue wire.

silly question guys but what sort of cable should get. Would 0.5mm cable be okay kind of like speaker wire its one of those jobs you just need a bit of advice on the bits to use

Wire size will depend on current draw. I can’t imagine that requires a lot of power, the rating of the fuse will be the clue, but most likely 0.5sqmm would be adequate over a short distance.

Thank you everyone finally got it working this morning. I use those cable connectors and some cable and then rap to all in black material tape then I really tidy job a bit of squeeze getting it all in
