Our runner ducks used to do a good job eating slugs. Only have khaki campbells now, they don't seem so interested.

We used to have a few aylesbury ducks, they did a good job on the slugs also. As a bonus, they lay great eggs and can't fly but do need a decent perimeter fence for fox protection, which may not be practical. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

my gran used to leave a small bowl out with a little bit of beer, slugs go for it, and get that drunk, they just drown, my pal did the same thing. That's about it really pal, nothing fancy for the sake of a 4 cans of cheap beer, and maybe a cheep bowel or something. Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

my gran used use cheap beer, that would attract the slugs. My mate did with a failed batch of home brew too. Might be worth looking into? Just a couple of cans of the supermarkets finest. Smart price crap etc. Thumbs Up

Yep second this. Just put some in a jar or two and leave it out. They will climb in and drown.
Hedgehogs are great for this but there might not be any around.
Hens like them too.
Slugs do not like salt so you can scatter a ring around the area and they will not cross it.
If you go out at night you can sprinkle salt on them. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Also.. when you've been out on a blinder and you haven't got anything in the fridge when you get home...the traps are definitely off limits.
