Not me but my daughter. She went to the motor factors with her bulb pack to replace a sidelight bulb she had used. She understands that when you use your spare, you get another one. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I got her the bulb pack when she got the Defender about four years ago. It is easier to keep track of the bulbs in the pack rather than loose in a box. She changed the side light herself. Dropped the light guard and changed the bulb. Not a big thing but she does the basics herself. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Actually I am not sure. You see the Mrs does the finances. I allow this as it lets the wife think she is the boss, but I know better.... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Sussed why my night heater didnt work(Part 2). It would spin up and try to start and fail. Turns our the fuel pipe was resting on the exhaust and had melted...Causing a leak...Which did not help matter.
Leak fixed, heater works Fixed the n/s mirror - when I was driving along the mirror was shaking. Turns out the screws holding the mirror to the hinge had come a little bit slack. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

People just do not appreciate how useful a Defender is at keeping your mind active at solving little problems. We should all have very high IQ scores by the time we pass on. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

^^^^ Now this is true, and that doesn’t even factor in the temporary fix ingenuity. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Went down to Somerset to collect a 1973 Series 3 Lightweight in bits.
I picked up a puncture on the rear of the 130 on the way down unfortunately but at least it was before it was loaded. Not sure what I’m going to do with the Lightweight, a friend needed it out of the way pending a house move. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Anyone fancy a project….. |
