Help Water Leaking into Passenger Footwell
Hi there we have a permanent puddle in the passenger footwell, I suspect water is leaking under the windscreen rubber (I can see traces of it coming in). What is the fix for this ? Do I need to get the windscreen rubber replaced ? Is this a screen out job ? I got fed up using silicone sealant everywhere for our 300 Tdi, I don't want to start doing it for the Puma.

Any ideas please ?

Yes, windscreen rubber can be a culprit if cracking at the corners.

Also, the front edge of the door window in the corner where it meets the seal, this can be filled with putty to stop water ingress.

Then there is the windscreen frame to bulkhead joint under the the door seal, which should be filled with putty. LR Workshop

Don’t forget the screen to bulkhead blocks.

Mine was leaking into the passenger footwell from there, even though I thought that it couldn’t be because I had changed the gasket the previous year. This time I did use silicone sealant along with new gaskets again.

Check clean or remove the air inlet duck bill drains, they fill up with water. There are 3x of them.
When they fill up with tree debris and dirt, water comes in and runs through.

I find they are best removed over winter and put back in summer, or just left out. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

No I have never seen that book, it is fascinating. In 21 years of Defender ownership. They really can leak from everywhere. Our 300 Tdi leaked from the sunroof and roof seams into the headlining, and when you moved the vehicle it dumped cold water in your lap.

It was a nice start to the day.

Yes, I used to do that in the 300 Tdi, but the Puma is too nice. Puma 90 XS Station Wagon in Keswick Green 2012 2.2 Tdci

I have used tiger seal, captain trolleys and dum dum,
as mentioned above all are good products that works.

Also, it’s worth checking the windscreen bulkhead blocks, they can leak as well, plus the windscreen screen frame lower to bulkhead foam seal.
If it’s the foam seal, then the captain trolleys is probably best, dum dum is okay in corners and entires etc.
I would leave the tiger seal as a last option, but it would work.
