Hi All,
I'm new to owning a 1987 defender and have a leak on the outside of my wheel, I'm not 100% sure on the name of the parts but after some googling I believe( please correct me if I'm wrong) this is axel drive flange dust cap and the gasket behind could be a drive flange gasket? Does anyone have any advise if I'm on the right track that changing these two items could be the fix? And if the parts are even called what I've googled! Any help much appreciated Thanks [/img] Last edited by Tdatp1defender on 19th Mar 2024 6:19am. Edited 1 time in total |

Don’t buy the cheap plastic type part and I’d check your axle breather isn’t blocked

I'd give that a wash with some hot soapy water..... Let it dry you'd then see if its the cap or gasket leaking 😉
