Spuds, they have took me on, and jumped at taking my work mate on too.
The place needs decent operators, and some investment. But i recon that will come in time. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

i am still working here, and i have another old work mate join me too. Just waiting to see if me and other work mate pass our probations, well mine should have ended back in April there, and my work mate who joined me, afterwards too. His probation should have been ended April, early May. We have a new manager so he is catching up on things, so we will see if we pass.
The last few weeks have been interesting, lets say the least. A few have left, been sacked due to poor attendance, and gross miss conduct. Things have dropped off production wise, as things have settled down again, but i am still happy, and still in a lot stronger position, than i was last year, and that goes for the my two old work mates. I wont go into details about the gross miss conduct, but lets just say you don't faff about, when there are cameras and certain people watching. After this week, i am certain there are some major changes a head. These last few weeks have took me back to my early Asda days on H+L that's for sure Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

I'm sure you'll be fine. Good operators are hard to find.
Not sure I like the idea of camera surveillance though. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

for what was reported and got caught on camera, i am glad. That there is some sort of safety measure at least, my other place didn't have them.
Mind one story was quite funny, They moved one camera to keep an eye on assembly, because they are not hitting the targets. The management was having meeting about the camera, basically where it was moved to, and they happen to spot live, one of the operators walking to the next machine, he was looking after. Eating a sandwich Id have loved to been a fly on the wall in that meeting when that popped up live on the camera. My work mate who told me about it, we both had a right laugh about it. I said you cannot write that one. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

I thought id follow this up, https://sunderlandglobalmedia.org/50-jobs-...BZWOwX3O4g Yep i got out at the right time, a long with my other work mate who followed me, My friend i have been trying to get in since i started as a setter, finally got word back, and got an interview, me and the manager have been talking, and i have been sort of the bridge in exchange in contacts. So he maybe finally joining me, It has come and a great time after what has just gone down in the link, He told me it could not have happened at a better time, The work they were supposed to have got, never came a light at all, due to them over pricing them selves out of the market. So things really have gone very rocky, to unstable. They ended up paying off temp workers as well as all agency, ( agency went not long after me) As for me, production has dropped due to the demand with Nissan suppliers, and with INEOS mothballing production. But they are still producing parts, but on a shorter week, so I have decided to jumper over to assembly, which is non automotive, where i can learn a lot more.
