I often looked at Blackvue, but in the end decided against having one. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

From what I can remember they are pretty good, quite a hefty price tag though, but might have come down a bit.
A lot depends on model and specs. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Iโve been looking at the Wolfbox one but was hoping for some feedback before taking the plunge.

That looks pretty neat, especially the resolution and integration if it can be fitted in situ is half the job already done.
You can easily add an ATO fuse tap: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251618137508?_s...R4zP8pbUZA to the 12v accessory socket in fuse box as well, without much hard wiring needed, and you can probably keep wiring slim up a pillar with 0.5mm2 thinwall or figure of 8 cable as current draw is minimal. Sometimes Amazon reviews I go by, I tend to find reviews on there to be generally accurate unlike some places. Though not every product is listed on there.

I use a Blackvue DR750 Truck since my rear camera has to be external. It's a good product and records high quality footage but in the UK the after sales support is awful. My unit bricked itself trying to do an update when first powered on and it was very difficult to persuade BV to replace it even though it was brand new.
With the second one I simply didn't do the update and it has been ok for several years since. If you want an external rear camera your choice is very limited. |

Those piggyback fuses are very useful, I use one already for my OBD gauge. Although I did have to do a little fettling to get the fuse box cover to close properly. WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

Yes, they are a very close fit with the fuse cover and you have to bear in mind the circuit fuse rating from the factory, but is useful for ignition fused feed.
I seem to remember the fuse is 20A for that circuit so I downgraded that to 15A and fitted a 1A on the tap circuit, 15A is more than enough for the vast majority of 12v accessories. That stays within the 20A headroom on that circuit. Last edited by custom90 on 23rd Oct 2024 8:38pm. Thatโs a good idea. Presumably there will be a point when I need to add another fuse box? I have to say Iโm not hugely confident tinkering with the electrics, so much can go wrong! WARNING.

We've had a Viofo for a few years. It's been excellent,I've had need to use the footage from it on a few occasions. They are a much neater form factor than many others. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
