Loads of tidying up has been done, electrics, bodywork, etc. Getting rid of nasty aftermarkt stuf that had been fitted over the years... getting it back to analoge as possible. (more pavement queen, then farm vehicle previously)... but keeping the look and feel the same.

Suspension Upgrades:

Supply and fit 2’’ suspension geometry kit -
Inc. front and rear dislocation cones, front shock turrets,
front and rear coil spring retaining plates, corrected three degree
front radius arms, cranked rear radius arms, adjustable
panhard rod, full vehicle Polybush kit, FOX2.0 shock absorbers,
and steering damper
Supply and fit Terrafirma heavy duty steering bars
Supply and fit front and rear wide angle props
Supply and fit hardened front CV joints and front half shafts
Inc. axle grease

Also upgrading all the cooling with Roose Motorsport high capacity Ali rad, etc and all hoses replaced for silicon. 2001 90 TD5 SW - Juice Motors Resto Mod - Epsom Green

I'm running 35" BFG's, so the lift is needed. Seems OME and FD are the two main offerings.

Doing SCRAM AFRICA end of April, which is a LOT of high speed off road, so need as much damper volume as possible.

Cool, not familiar with that event. Looks like it is motorbikes are you just following the route or in support?

For that kind of use, yes remote res shocks sound sensible.

Do you not find 35's rub under articulation if you need the lift to fit them? As when a live axle suspension compresses it takes away all the lift.

I see you said you are fitting front dislocation cones, obviously they are cheap and easy to fit, so why not. Although unless you are running a short stiff spring or have done something else to increase travel, very few LRs can dislocate the front springs. Even the promo/poser shots of the Gwyn Lewis Comp truck it isn't dislocating the front suspension.

Originally a motorbike event, but opened up to select "old" 4x4's too now...

Have only had the 35's rub once on full articulation, was the stupidly long rear seat bolts Rolling Eyes Springs nearly fell out though, so the dislocation cones on the back are needed for sure. Will ask the question on the fronts though, thanks. Probably just fitting them as it's all coming off anyway.
