Td5Rev Counter (Again) I've searched around on this site for some historical postings on the options for fitting a rev counter to a Td5. It would seem that the VDO (Expensive) ones run from the ECU Pin 19, but the aftermarket ones need a w-feed as per the 300/200tdi models. From previous threads, this seems to be the answer I need: "Attaching a wire to that screw on the back of the alternator is basically the same thing as using the W terminal on a 200/300tdi alternator - it's connected to one off the stator windings before the rectifier." Thanks To Td5John for that. My question is, does anyone have any pics on how to do that, and which of the stator wires I pick up a feed from? TIA John

Zimblewinder Member Since: 12 Jan 2019 Location: Geelong Posts: 46	added bonus from taking it from the stator pin over the ecu pin is that the tacho will drop out if fuse #5 pops loosing your alternator charge. You can replace the fuse before the battery is driven flat, or if you're already out of luck, the tacho dropped out will help you quickly identify this charging problem.
