Roof console switch pod
Hi. not sure if this has been looked at before, but does anyone know of a switch pod (to take the standard Defender switches) that mounts where the interior light sits. Possibly incorporating the interior light into the design? Ideally say 6 switches. I am aware of a design that has the facility to hold a DIN size radio etc, but I need just the ability to fit standard defender switches. Thanks in advance.... Thumbs Up 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

I don't believe that there is an COTS solution but there is not reason you couldn't fit a custom panel into the MUD roof console. It would be quite straightforward especially if you knew someone who could 3D print the panel for you.

Most folk use other makes of switch up there because genuine LR ones are not great in most respects.

A combination of the RDX roof light switch pod and the MUDSTUFF TD5/TDCI switch panels might work

RDX also do the switch pod for Carling style switches so loads of options there.

I was running the Mud roof console with the cabin light and the single din 6 carling switch panel. It was a nice tidy compact solution. I know they are not LR OE switches but they do have a nice positive feel to them.

Swapped it out for a CB as the switch count was overkill for my needs where as fulfilling my childhood Smokey and the Bandits fantasies was far more important!

Thanks all. Yes it looks like a bespoke option is likely here as I want to definitely use the standard LR switches but in a more sleek design console. I will give it some thought. Maybe consider a 3D printed special …. Bow down 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

I went to CARLING switches in MUD roof console.
Just be carefull with 3D printing - it could be quite hot there in summer, so use the right filament material. I have seen colapsed 3D printed holders, left behing front screen in summer. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile
