Is that one of these two?

Or perhaps this one, sensor circled in red and the tube in blue?

Problem seemed to have been solved, though I’m not 100% convinced yet that there is not still some hesitation on occasion. It is certainly much improved though.

However the P006B-64 fault is still present in the ECU after a drive.

Definitely not solved - problem now back as bad as before and P0401 fault also now showing along with the warning light again.

Back to the dealer we go Rolling Eyes

I have this exact issue for the last four weeks.

Same P0401 code and hesitation/judder at 1200-1500rpm, worse on inclines. It's better driven in S keeping the revs up.

Is it a cracked pipe / leak off somewhere? I think the EGR code is misleading LR?

Mine is also going in for a new EGR. Good to know I'm not alone with this issue, first issue I've had.

Thanks!

The dealer replaced the exhaust manifold pressure sensor and its feed tube on Friday, and having done 300 miles home I am hopeful that it has been sorted. Fingers crossed it stays sorted.

That's good to hear.

Mine is going in this Friday for a full EGR valve and cooler change for P0401 code.

Retroanaconda, has your fault come back since?

New EGR assembly didn't make any difference to mine.

A big thanks to Retroanaconda for starting this thread, saved me a lot of time! This was also the problem with mine, here's some pictures to help others:

Symptoms I had:
>P0401 EGR insufficient code that would return every 50 miles or so after clearing codes
>Hesitation / stutter at around 1200rpm which was more noticeable when the engine was under load, almost like someone switched the engine off for a second
>Little mid range power, very flat acceleration

Fix
>Clean out the metal pipe from the exhaust manifold to the exhaust pressure sensor

Here's some pictures:

Code on diagnostic:

Pipe is located behind this boost pipe.

I also replaced the MAP sensor which seem to bring back the mid range power however the low rev issue was still present and P0401 code.

Access is quite tight so I managed to clean the pipe by feeding wire up from the manifold side. You can see the dry carbon coming out.

Over 600 miles done since without any engine light.

Hopefully that helps others.

Excellent work - glad to see it can be done DIY easily enough. Suspect mine will need doing again in another 70k miles or so.
