I just got my Defender back with a replaced EGR unit after 95475 km.
My OBD II bluetooth module send me a lot of errors. This time my orange engine light wasn't shown, until I drove 300 km. The garage first exchanged the pipe and sensor as posted by 91dm. But after driving more than 100 km the engine light lighted again. So the garage did exchange the EGR unit. They drove nearly 330 km with my car! This time no problem has appeared. Fingers crossed that this will be ok, as I will drive to the French Alps and Italy this summer. As I changed the oil in the engine myself, Land Rover didn't accept to replace the EGR under warranty. They are very strict. The dealer told me one client was 1200 km over the normal revision cycle. LR didn't except it.
