2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White

CKP sensor depth and angle relative to TDC

The other I was watching a spanish video from a technician kind of knowlegeable on Puma engines. So he mentioned importance of the depth and arc position of the CKP sensor. I got a bit concern as I cannot remember if I removed such sensor or its bracket when I changed the clutch long time ago. I know there is tool to lock the flywheel but no idea how to check both depth and position (relative to TDC) on a 2.4 Tdci, if needed.

AFAIK, both CKP and front crankshaft gear settings are critical for the rest of the PCM functions.

The recommended air gap between the ckp sensor and the trigger whell is 0.4 mm - 1.5 mm

The position of the cpk arch is more delicate, it never has to be removed, it is what indicates where the pistons are, the tuning is more delicate
