Turn the key, momentary delay before starting.
As the title reallyโ€ฆ. Jumped in tonight, waited for the glow plug light to go out, turned key start then nothing for maybe a second, but then sprung into life as normal. Any ideas? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Starter getting a bit tired, I have had a similar event happen a few times but seems to still keep going.
I wouldnโ€™t worry too much unless it stops starting all together. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Not sure, could be I guess. Are they any that could be replaced as a matter of course for not much money? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Hope it lives on. I read changing the starter is a ball ache. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Most things to change on a Puma are a pain. Laughing

Any time Iโ€™ve had any issue, itโ€™s always been a loose ground or battery clamp(s) loose. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Could be, maybe the key wasn't detected momentarily? I don't know how I would test for that though. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Ignition switch had crossed my mind. I don't think it's low battery as it sits on a Ctek for 99% of the time, plus when it did start to turn over the starter sounded lively. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I had this happening to me when my starter was on its way out. Lasted for about 6 months before it finally quit on me. I generally noticed it getting worse after the vehicle was hot. If i had to make a quick stop and turned it off, it would sometimes worry me that it wouldn't start back up. Replacing the starter is a pain and I even had it on a lift.

Replacing the starter motor isnโ€™t as bad as you might think.

Removing a few coolant hoses from the top to give you eyes on the starter and then undoing it from underneath is the best approach. And definitely get some coolant clamp pliers.
