Oh dear - good job I did not put this on a a poll - obviously I am only expressing my personal opinion of my own Defender - I could alway drive around with a roof tent on ALL THE TIME, or fit TOTALLY WRONG RRS 22" alloys with 20 profile tyres or better still fit after market tat products that will probably never get used.

That is the great thing about the Defender - we all love the one we have and bling it up how we want - REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS THINK.

After all, only plonkers dressed as clowns fit RAIs that no one else has fitted!!!

Seriously though - no offence taken - its my car and I like it how it is.

Can't wait to see the next set of photos, with intake removed. Laughing

Ok so if you guys thinks it is not right, I will just have to put the RAI back on the RRS 3.0 TDV6

The wheels are prototype military WOLF rims - they were blasted and white powder coated

But why is it so long? and why have you run it through the wing top when the wing side is where it fits, and can be made perfectly watertight. I just dont get it at all.

Each to their own, but I too would love to know why it needs to extend way above the roofline, meaning that it will be dry when the rest of the vehicle is completely submerged.

You know something about 2012 the rest of us have only seen in films? 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

Could someone not make a similar thing for the intake to keep the dust down? Could be used and removed with ease

Have you honestly taken a fairly large hole saw to the bonnet of that 11-plate range rover sport???

Wow, dedication to the cause fella! Mark

If you look at the photo again I think you will see he is holding it in place. If not, how on earth do you open the bonnet.

It looks like a complete kit from the beach landing variant of the Wolf used by the Royal Marines, which are designed to drive comletely submerged. The vehicle has lots of other modifications too, including a variety of rubber sleeves and bags that fit over the instruments and a large roof hatch.

Presumably, Royal Marine training includes learning to hold your breath Laughing Darren

On Defender WOLF, there is no hole in the wing side panel so there is no way to fit a snorkel on the side of the wing.

The wading line for a WOLF Waterproofed vehicle is half way up the windscreen but to allow for sea swell the snorkel is higher to cope with the odd wave.

Also the smaller pipe is to allow for all axle, gerabox and engine breathers to be piped up to the snorkel top.

Interestingly the large canister is not a filter but is a large cyclone unit which helps the air flow into the airfilter which is under the bonnet

Personally I like the look but agree that it is a bit tall. My plan is to cut the snorkel down by about 4 inches and re attach the top canister. When driving off road in tight places, this snorkel also does not make the vehicle any wider and cannot get damaged as a result of side damage.

Still it has been a talking point?

OTHER RAIs ARE AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!
