2016 Defender 130 Other SW Auto Bali Blue

External LR OEM Box Install Question

We recently took delivery of our 130 Outbound. Love it. Thinking about adding the box on the right side. Question - does anyone sell the trim piece with pre drilled holes? I have enough tools and skill to do it myself but I’m also wise enough in my years to know it might be worth my time to purchase this (avoid the which drill bit and shape does it best activity).

The side mount box ONLY fits on the right side of the vehicle.

Should you want it on the left side you have to mount it on a molle plate.

Correct. Right side. For this post we are talking about the right side. No molle plates.

Which Vehicles will this fit ?

This item WILL fit the Land Rover Defender L663 - 110 models only

This item WILL NOT fit the Land Rover Defender L663 90 or 130 models.

although they do make them for the 90, under a different listing.

I can NOT find any for the 130 ?

But Unwin track can be bought in longer lengths.

I bought a generic amazon special in black for my 110. When it arrived it came with a trim piece that was predrilled. It was also black.
I also bought a generic ladder for the other side, and it to came with a black predrilled trim piece.

It may be worth asking the supplier if it comes with that predrilled trim. The factory one doesn't, but the Alibaba/Express/Amazon versions do. It greatly improved the install time and effort. Both took less than 20 minutes to install.

Does anyone know what the standard part number is for the trim piece?

LR178947 is the correct part number. Unsure if it's painted or not. Will find out.
