Hi
Muddy Mark - The heated mirror switch is actually a Spot Light switch, YUG000350LNF. That got me a blank switch with no label on it, then i got a set of switch labels from vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk ref:SYM, they are on a transparent sheet so i took the heated rear window sticker and cut it out and rotated it 90 degrees. I was in a rush and didnt cut it as tight around the symbol as i could have so next time i order something from them i'll get another sheet and do it again, they are only £1.62 a sheet. Don't know what i'm going to do with the other 148 symbols on the sheet!! ![]() Naks - I'll try and do something over the next week for you. If you are keen to do it then the main tool you need is something similar to a Dremel with some cut-off discs to attack the fascia with. Also pick up some sheets of perspex, A4 size should be enough 1.5mm & 3mm thick & some PVC solvent weld cement. If it sounds a bit heavy going I'll make you one up for a lot less than 900Euros!! ![]() From my experience of fitting the unit, if you decide to buy the one from the german site make sure it fits the stereo you want to install. I made mine to take the full double din unit including the surround with a standard double din cage whereas i can see theirs just takes the head unit with their own double din size cage. I also wanted to keep the hazard light switch on the centre, i didn't want to cut into the fascia sides as they have done as i preferred mounting the window & heated seat switches on the cubby box which feels more natural anyway. There are a few minor alterations you have to make to the dash, mainly the clock & original radio support. I'll dig out the photos and get typing. Phil |
