United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
Which part did you go for, PYB500040 as listed in the parts catalogue (LR price £103 +VAT or aftermarket about £41.00 +VAT) or the identical part LR043268 (LR price £9.65 +VAT or aftermarket abut £8.00 +VAT) which is not listed in the catalogue?

Hopefully the latter...

Ah the £41 one… hey ho but if I hated wasting money I wouldn’t have bought a LR.

Well that went as well as could be expected...

I mean should I just change the water pump while I have it down this far?

Just an update, changed the whole water pump and manifold unit, topped up the coolant and took it for an extended run…happy to report all is well! (Well at least this issue, still have my electrical gremlins..but if it was all perfect I’d be worried right).
