Steering
Hi

We have from what i can tell is a Terrafirma steering damper on our Puma Defender- if we were to replace it with a standard one would we have lighter steering? We have STT-pro tyres which i assume don't help.

Thanks

You could remove the current damper, and drive and test the Defender and see if it makes a difference. If it does not, then most likely, a standard steering damper will not make a difference either. If the rest of the steering system (swivels, ball joints, box itself) are in good condition, the damper is not really needed.
