I think the wipers sit just below the heated area, best to leave them in winter park.
Also the heating elements don’t go to the edge of the screen 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

I’ll set the winter park it caught me out this morning.
Photo of the area once it was thawed the wiper tip got caught on really thick ice in its path just got me thinking why they designed it like that. Looking at that image, it should go closer than that. It goes up at an angle, more inline with the thicker frost. I’ll have a look at mine. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

You should be able to see the thin wires on the glass. All the area with the wires in should clear MY23 D250 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Yours is the same as mine. I thought it was closer but there’s no elements there.

Thanks I had a look this morning an concluded it’s by design. Just need to be careful in hard frost as the end of the wiper blade isn’t freed by the heating, surprised me yesterday as the wiper was stuck. The cold weather park setting should alleviate it if it’s selected 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

A bit late with this one but maybe helpful - there is a setting for the vipers, something called "winter mode", if that is ON then car will park the wipers higher and they will get defrosted sooner
