Sounds like you're getting the full LR experience.
Mine has done 9000 miles in 4 months. Issues are: - Vibration between 50-70mph on cruise control going up hill. - Red warning light - IC valve issue apparently and hopefully sorted last week. - Meridain speakers randomly choosing which speaker to focus on. - Surging gearbox holding onto gears - high be fixed ish - Missing USB and 12V sockets. Fix TBC. - Damaged roof from removing PVC sheet on delivery. - Diabolically poor dealer service pre and post sale. - Fuel consumption to date. 27.1MPG. Other than that, its OK. |

Is this a cabin noise vibration or transmission/driveline? If the former, when it’s next doing it try pressing down on dashboard section that surrounds gearstick. If it cures it, it needs removing and securing back down with vibration tape by dealer. |

It's transmission and only seems to do it going up hill on cruise control. Hard to replicate for the dealer.

I have noticed that when on cc, say 67mph and I override using the accelerator to speed up quickly, I get what feels to be a misfire or transmission a vibration during initial acceleration as if a battle is occurring within the software, one trying to increase fuel and the other not allowing it to speed up. I did wonder if there was part locking of the differentials but these show as unlocked on the display so unlikely to be that. After a few seconds it disappears but none the less disconcerting. I haven't noticed it when just cc in charge as you have though. 2020 Defender 110 SE 240D: Fuji White.

I will say that my local dealer, Dick Lovett Bath (Melksham), have been excellent. I wish I had bought it from them.

No major issues and all missing bits fitted by Dick Lovett Bath (Melksham) on Monday, who still remain very good. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

Update to my initial post (#1 in thread).
A remarkable number of defects happend April until August with even more remarkable time at the dealer trying to fix. Out of those five months the ND has been almost two months at the dealer. - 4 times with exhaust gas leakage at the DPF intake blowing exhaust gas right into cabin fresh air intake. (No historic comparisons here, please.) Always the same sealing. Well, how often do you have to do the same thing to no avail before you start changing your approach to analyse and fix the issue. - Reproduceable limb home when exceeding app. 90% throttle. Self healing with vehicle restart. Turbocharger clogged / VTG malfunction. Turbocharger replaced. - Clogged intercooler replaced. So this is the 4th intercooler on this vehicle now... - Right rear door not closing properly, outside door handle malfunction, outer sealing getting loose all the time - Still, never had to call road assisstance, always made it to the dealer on it's on wheels. Even when I had to open windows in order not to suffocate, which is nice during heavy rain. Finally, leasing contract expired in Sept. 2023 with app. 122.000 km (~76.000 miles). Heart says its a pitty, head says its a disembarressment. Now new lease car is some larger 7-seater SUV. German brand, produced in USA. New Defender 130 has not been an option to me. |
