just a quick appreciation for keeping this forum civilized
It is nice to participate in this forum and never having to worry about bad actors, aggression or profanities.

So much of online communities are becoming just to annoying to follow. I personally don't do much social media and my slightly older kids have gone through the phase and now use it very selectively and less and less. I am now avoiding the comments on the news sites, too ugly.

I just read that one site recently bit the dust, Ornery I had never heard of it, but like many it was set up with good intentions, but had become unmanageable according to the owner quote "In recent years, it seems like the whole world has become more ornery," K-Brooks. Some real ugly stuff going on apparently. Maybe people start to see the social media experiment for what it is: a breeding ground for all the ugly side of humanity and undermining society in the process

I don't know how much moderation has to take place on this forum, but I would like to thank the moderators (and of course all of us contributors) for keeping this such a pleasant place to hang out.

It's not to difficult to be nice, online or in person. Unfortunately some people seem to think that it's acceptable to berate others for genuine requests for help. I've found this forum members to be polite and respectful and it's generally the place for better quality Land Rover advice.

I've found the information found on here to be very helpful with the rebuild of my Land Rover, so now that it's finished would like to help in passing on knowledge and experience gained to others.

Thanks!

I'll second, third and fourth this sentiment. I've always appreciated how 'normal' and measured this forum is. Donald

I agree. Martin soon gives a warning when things do get out of hand and I think this is why it is such a civilised, well mannered place to post Thumbs Up

Thank you Martin Bow down

Sadly it seems kids are growing up on a menu of anger, bullying, rudeness, misogyny, and false information on social media and everyone is wondering why we have such a problem with Childhood Mental Health issues? If they think these influencers are the way normal people act in normal life, I worry about the future

Well done to everyone who has contributed to the knowledge now accumulated on D2N

The Forum is excellent, due in no small part to Martin's approach... Hat's Off Thumbs Up

Hello from Aussie, agree 100%, I've never seen any real "politeness" issues on this forum upon which Martin does a great job. And thank you to all members for the "conversation".

It's a good point, well made. It's also worth noting that the only moderator here is Martin, the owner.

This is as good a time as any to remind folks about the 'Donate' button at the top of the page. There's obviously an ongoing cost to keeping forums like this running and I think of it as membership fees to a really good club Smile Darren
