R380 Serial Number - Assistance Required Please
Hello good people,

I need to replace (at least I hope this is all that is causing my clutch to bite low and pedal need some assistance in returning) the clutch slave, master, flex pipe and spring.

I have been looking at slave's and they say FTC5202 from 56A0669087K or FTC5072 pre 56A0669086K.

Had a look and my number appears as 56A 0310755J (as in the photo below) but I can't quite make out if there is a 2 or another number in the space between the A and 0.

Did any R380's have 8 digit numbers? The photos I have found only show stamped numbers (not what looks like computer engraved on mine) and don't have any spaces.

Just need to figure out if I need FTC5202 or FTC5072.

Any help from someone more knowledgeable than I would be greatly appreciated.

No there is not a character between the A and 0. So you want the pre 006 part.

I made this video to help identify the slave cylinders in case someone had changed them and the push rod, in which case the gearbox number would be irrelevant

Thanks, Will. I will have a look at this later.

Hope no one had Censored about in the past. I expect not given the vehicles history but you never know!

I managed to watch a bit of your video and saw you were being careful with the pushrod. Most videos don't seem to mention being careful not to let it come out. Having done a little reading I understand it is not good. Aside from being careful and some wiggling and jiggling are there any tips to help stop it coming out?

Well the rod came out, didn't feel anything unclip though and can't see any sign of a clip in there.

Am I right in thinking that if there was a clip and it had come off with the rod it would be in there still or on the floor somewhere?

Have been in with a boroscope but there's nothing! Sorry the photo is upside down
