Which roof tent do you have?
Ultimately it should be centred on the rack for weight distribution. |

The hinge should be as close to the edge of the rack as is practical. That way allows you to use an annex below. Darren

if sideways, or I find if you put it all the way at the back you can use the annex right at the back door giving you inside access. This is even nicer with the split gate on the LR3/4.
I hear the argument about weight distribution, but for a weekend away we never loaded to a point I felt the back was unduly strained by the weight of the tent. |

I'd love to have it over the back put i'd like to get a 270Deg awning also First world problems lol
that's true I'm only going to have it on when I need it and could try my best to even out the weight distribution |
