Defender subwoofer installation
I wanted to fit a sub but wanted to try something that looked like it may have been fitted from the factory.

It’s a wip but I think it looks ok.

Low profile subs fitted to a d2 sub housing.

Not tested yet. If the suns out tomorrow I might get it test wired and see if I’ve wasted my time.

That does look ‘factory’ so let’s hope it performs well 👍

I have a low-profile sub mounted to the back of the cubby, it's been bugging me forever.

Funnily enough, I went to see the audio shop guy to do something like yours, will post some pics when he's done. --

Hi, that looks a very neat job you’ve done there, have you put any Dynamat on the internal door skin? If not I can highly recommend adding some, look forward to hearing your findings when it’s connected Thumbs Up cheers Paul

Thanks Paul,

I’ve ordered some from eBay and some grey leather. I’m going to retrieve it all. Clean it up and spray the grille.

I planned on sealing up the rear door and then sealing the new door card to the door with foam stripping.

I didn’t get a chance to test it today as it’s been raining and I’ve ended up in the pub.

Steve.

Here is my experience with acoustic insulation. Ripped the car apart numerous times. Stuffed in every conceivable place.

I actually did as much research on Defenders as I could find to get your experience. Visitor - Freelander owner
