It messy but loosen the drain plug and let it spill out over your hand into a catch basin. Don’t let the plug all the way out just hold it and then screw it back in. 🤷♂️. (BTW which LR “specialist” here in Ontario did that??) So a final follow up. I found a plastic tube that would fit down the dipstick tube. I marked the tube to just below the fill mark on the dipstick, inserted the tube and sucked up the oil to create a gravity drip. The hole was pretty small so it took 21hrs to extract 1.4 litres of oil from the engine. It's been rainy so I had the time. I just set it up and left the garage. I could have used a vacuum pump but the hole was so small it would have still taken a few hours of sitting there pumping. It's now less than a mm above the full mark so I'll leave it. I could probably extract another 100ml. Tomorrow it will be dry so a good day for a drive. This is by far the longest it has ever taken me to complete an oil change, start to finish. 2006 90 originally registered in Italy
