Turkey 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 Adventure Scotia Grey
P2562-34 Code !!!
p2562-34 getting an error

The motor, which started moving when the ignition was turned on, became rigidly stuck at the end of the actuator's travel.


All cables checked
'actuator replaced with a new one
'no grounding
'egr canceled with software


Has anyone encountered this error code?

Check the harness again, very carefully, it's the most likely cause. Probably one of the 'sense' wires is o/c or grounded due to chafing.

Code P2562 means that Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor 'A' Circuit has been detected.

If you are 100% certain the harness is OK and you've changed the actuator for a known good one (tested on another vehicle I hope) then all that is left is the ECM I'm afraid.

For some reason (usually a broken wire or grounded wire) the ECM is not detecting the actuator position from the stepper motor in the actuator and is driving it to its end stop whilst trying to position it.

I'd still be suspicious of the harness and before buying a new ECM would be checking impedances and ground impedances of the actuator leads. I don't know how thorough your "looks good" means, of course, you may have done this already.

Actuator replaced with new one, still stuck
