Sooner than expected that is. I didn’t know if the idea would be well received or whether I was the only one suffering 😅

Great, by my count here is only 6 more people to get on board for this to be a go. As mentioned the first 15 will be at £13 +p&p it’ll go up after that and it’ll only be a limited run.

It would perhaps be nice to drop me a quick message about this, this is the second time you've used the forum to try and get a group buy together, with only a single other post non selling/group buy related
There are tools available on the forum for creating a registration form/sign up for group purchases like this, but there are also forum rules regarding commercial (for profit) sales. So it'd be good to know the nature of this and future plans etc! 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Hi Martin. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to cause any disruption. I would have posted in the for sale section but I just wanted to check if there would be interest first. Because I have sub 25 posts and don’t really post on here often I just wanted to check if this was something would be interested in.
The first group by did not happen as there weren’t enough people to warrant it (Nolden headlights aren’t cheap) and this was based off a design I had and put out the idea for production. Again wether it goes ahead is based on if there enough people. I have not and would not take a penny off anyone until they were produced and in hand with myself. Again I am sorry and I really don’t want to be treading on anyone’s toes. |

Judging by the amount of sold items of this ebay listing, I would be surprised if you get more sales.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175916398675?mk...olid=10050 But smart enough guy to tap into the forum of the Landrover nerdy fanatics. I am not linked in any way to the ebay seller. So Martin please feel free to delete my post. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

I had seen this chaps design and ordered a set myself to solve my problem of the snapped retaining arm parts.
There were a few pieces I did not like in the design and so I changed them to what I feel worked better. I think the biggest improvement for my idea is the materials used, also the design having an S shaped profile allows for better transfer of stress through the part (keeping the pivot points in line) and the final difference is that that persons kits arm lengths are both the same where as my design is not as the arms were different lengths on the two flaps on the original heater box. |

No doubt, yours seem better made, although I still think that the Z (or S) profile is unnecessary from a mechanical stand point. Worse case without it would only induce a slightly more bending moment on the pivot shaft... which is more than capable of handling it. There is also enough length on the pivot shaft to be able to adjust the position such that the inner and outer cables are still aligned. So it is just adding either cost to the buyer, or taking away from your margin.
But thumbs up for making the correct length of levers. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Thanks for the feedback. I’m an over thinker when it comes to things and the design and spec I know is overkill for the application for sure but in my opinion offers the best solution currently on the market 😊

Hi all, just to let everyone know I will be placing an order to get these produced at the end of the month. It may take a few weeks to get them sorted but they should hopefully be in time for Christmas (which would be an awesome stocking filler 😉). Like I said before the first 15 people putting in will get a discounted rate of £13+p&p. There are still a few places for the first 15.
As soon as they have arrived I’ll let you guys all know and then I can start posting them out. I will not be taking any monies from anyone until they are all produced and ready to post out. 😊 Just to let everyone know I will only be doing this as a one time batch production and once they are gone they’re gone 😉. |

It's a while since I refurbished the heater box in my car, and I think I ended up threading the end of one of the flap rods (as it was on the bench anyway) and clamping the lever between two bolts - something like that anyway.
But for all the cost I'm happy to put myself down for a couple of sets. One for me, and one on behalf of someone else. Ta.
