But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I'm thinking of swapping the TD5 90 for a 110 Utlity or Double Cab (preferably XS). Anyone done this move? I like the TD5's pull, is the Puma similar? Editor of FunRover - One blog. Read it!

Yes - I've done it - I find the Puma a big improvement in 99% of the ways over the TD5. TD5 wins on the engine note though Rolling Eyes John

Have no regrets buying my first Land Rover TD4 Defender 90.....it has never let me down....with over 70'000 km on the clock.
I have just ordered myself a brandnew 110 Hardtop 2012 version, i hope it will also be such a reliable car. Very Happy LANDROVER Defender Best 4 x 4 x Far

I think I'm gonna make the jump, done a lot of reading up and I'm hoping to part-ex 2 cars and cut down on bills which will be a plus, just need to decide between a double cab and a CSW or Utility.

Currently thinking a Double Cab looks the best, but the boot isn't enclosed so there's very little secure storage. The CSW is my second choice as I really want somewhere to put one of those massive roll out draws Laughing Editor of FunRover - One blog. Read it!

Having a dodgy knee and having to sell it.

On a serious note, if I could do defender ownership again I would not buy crap I didn't need for it, and I would buy stuff that's neccessary for what I was doing with it.

the only regret was speccing the cd radio/mp3 on my base model.

once i found out that i needed a £175 cable from land rover to charge and play my ipod the whole lot was ripped out and a pioneer/ jl set up was installed.

funrover - i went from a remapped td5 90 to a standard 110 sw and the lack of power is very noticable. After the 3 year warranty ends i will speak to gary at alive for some help. But the puma is better for long journeys in my opinion, compared to the td5

Are you Defenderless? Shocked Oh no!

I drove ours the other day after having a 307 for two days as loan car. I honestly thought our clutch was shot at first - it's SO heavy! Is that what's getting your knee? Could you do something like an auto V8 or similar? Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

I think we'll live without that extra power for a little more comfort. Soft I know, but 6 gears, a side window vent and a heater that works are just too tempting and, dare I say it, have been standard in cars since 1967 Laughing At the end of the day, we're not power mad, but it is nice having a bit of get up and go for overtaking Mr. Green

Hopefully going down to the dealers this week to see what kind of a deal they can cut me, really want to have a test drive too to get a direct comparison. Editor of FunRover - One blog. Read it!

funrover - would HIGHLY recommend the winter pack/cold climate pack - whatever the option is called these days. Heated seats and screen are very welcome in the winter months. Thumbs Up
