Software Version 4.0.0
Hi All,

I got the 4.0.0 update last night.

Finally we see 3rd Party Maps visible in the IDD! (unfortunately no google maps for IOS users, only Apple Maps Sad
I've yet to understand where Pivi gets it's mapping data/live traffic info, and hence if pivi is better/worse than apple maps. Happy to give it a try though.

I believe GOOGLE MAPS is available for those Android users - I wish I could have google maps with my IOS version.

I noticed a few other little changes - but i'm not sure if they're due to 4.0.0 or just because I was digging around more playing with the new settings.

What have you noticed!?

Apparently the maps in IDD is down to developers, so Google Maps may appear at some point as well. Doesn't give directions from CarPlay in the HUD though - which would probably be more useful.

Yeah, that would be very useful.

I found just having the directions directly in front of me was already a good improvement, and safer than over in the central display panel.

I keep getting the update on the car, I’ve selected both immediate upgrade and scheduled but it won’t actually update. Any suggestions?

All I know is that it needs a full close down, lock and alarm before it'll start the update..

I found a fix to my original problem - it seems you have to log in with a Profile, in order to save stations.
I still don't think the way mine behaves when logged out of a profile, is correct, but by logging into the profile and setting up favourites, it seems ot keep to the chosen source and cycles through DAB favourites correctly.

Im on 4.0.0 now but I still dont have the horizontal lines the were introduced on the previous version for the reversing camera. Anyone any idea why?

Received the update today. Followed on-screen instructions and it failed to install twice. It never gave a reason for the failure. I connected a battery minder to the battery and waited until it indicated battery was fully charged. Initiated the install and waited a full hour before returning to the vehicle (on-screen instructions say it takes an estimated 35 minutes 3.3.3 -> 4.0 ). No idea if having a fully charged battery made any difference but it did complete the install that time.

There are remote pos/neg terminals under the hood on the passenger side. The pos is in a small red plastic box. Neg is an exposed terminal about a foot away closer to the engine.

Ive been on 4.0.1 since 19th August but today it downloaded an 'update', however that is to go back to 4.0.0 has anyone else had this?
