wow, I've been off work for 2 days as I hurt my back, (just had a chiropractor jumping up and down on me) and only just seen this thread...I now have wifi,tv (first time in 6 months) and sat in bed with mrs greeni's iPad
Thanks for the response to the thread, it's nice to see that it's a good reference! I'd love to put a pic of my 90 with the Mach 5's on, but I just can't 'spanner' to get the boosts off....booooo! |

You are quite correct, they are the Compomotive alloys which were similar to the Freestyle Alloys that Land Rover used to supply. These were the 8.5x16, i think they did them in 8x16 as well? I have had them for about 10 years now and recently got them repainted, like you i wondered what they'd look like in black but am pretty pleased with them.

Been thinking of having mine done, may I ask how much it cost to have them done? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Great looking 110, i reckon having the alloys done in black would go really well with the red. Mine are actually a black chrome which you can see in the photo below. It was taken when they were applying the chrome paint so the wet paint gives it more of a chrome effect than they have now that they are dry. I saw them before they put the chrome on and the base coat was Santorini Black, they looked really good in that as well but i decided to take the plunge and have a couple of layers of chrome added. I was charged £400 for all 5 wheels, don't know if that's a good deal or not but they are only a mile down the road so it was convenient!
